Since the very first Gathering, our efforts have been steered by an insatiable drive for novelty, community, and authenticity. Our entire project has been funded by our community without sponsorship dollars through sales of Experience Passes, hard work, long hours, and occasionally our own resources.

Symbiosis Gathering is our art project and our community is our palate. Take a peek into what’s happened so far!

OE17: Oregon Eclipse

More than anything Oregon Eclipse was a testament to will, hard work, and the most amazing group of talented builders, creators, movers & shakers we have ever had the privilege to work with. And a site far away from populated metro areas became host to the most special experience we ever had the honor to work on…

SG16: Woodward Reservoir

Symbiosis 2016 felt like home. Three events in one location has been the longest tenure for our nomadic band of creatives, builders, and wackadoodles and we truly settled in to make this experience special…

SG15 : 10 year Re:Union

From our humble beginnings as a backwoods (occasionally renegade) community pot-luck of the arts, no one could have predicted what happened at Woodward Reservoir in 2015. One of the main goals of Symbiosis was always to push the bounds of what was possible, and while its one helluva cliche, we’ve taken that cliche very, very seriously…

SG13 : The Return to California

The park had never hosted an event of this magnitude and significant discussions were required from both sides to see if there was a fit…

PE12 : Pyramid Eclipse

Pyramid Eclipse was an experience with more facets than an Chiliagon. After over a year of permitting and many moons of planning, communing and collaborating with many different factions of the Pyramid Lake Paiute Tribe community, we began planning for a spectacle that would culminate in an Annular Eclipse…

SG09 : Camp Mather

Symbiosis Gathering at Camp Mather was an important turning point for many. Often referred to by its other name, “The Best Festival Ever,” SG09 will forever be remembered for the quality of its venue, the growth of the community, and the retrospective ridiculousness of the entertainment…

SG 06-07 : Angels Camp

Having quickly outgrown the small Boy Scout camp, the search began for a new home. In the serendipitous way these things often happen, we found our way to Avery Ranch near Angels Camp, CA…

SG05 : The First Gathering

The first Symbiosis Gathering seemingly emerged from nowhere, the product of a previously unknown crew with ambitious ideas about the power of music, art, and education to transform and inspire…
