Your volunteer schedules have been posted. Log in to your FestiVOL account & click on “My Events” to view your shift hours.

The exact department or job will not be listed here because it is subject to change depending on the festival’s needs. I’ll let you know where you’re headed when you check in for your shift at the Volunteer Hut!


By now, you should have received a ticket confirmation email from Eventbrite (sent to the email that you used to register on festiVOL).
You do not need to print anything out. Just be sure to bring a photo ID to the box office!
Remember, this pass includes Walk-In (tent-only) Camping. You will need to bring your own camping gear! If you would like to camp with your car, you will need to purchase a Car Camping or RV pass.


The same parking rules apply to volunteers as they do to General Admission patrons. Parking is $20 per vehicle, unless you carpool with 3 or more people – then it is FREE!

You may want to coordinate in the Volunteer Facebook Group about rideshares!

If you would like to purchase a Car Camping upgrade or RV pass, you can do so on the Symbiosis Ticketing site.


You should plan to arrive 1 DAY PRIOR to your first shift to set up camp & get settled in. All volunteers are provided free Early Entry on Wednesday July 16th. You will ONLY be allowed to check in during the following hours, so please plan your travel accordingly!

Saturday, Sept. 12th – 4pm–9pm (only for those who begin work on 9/13)

Sunday, Sept. 13th – 10am-8pm (Staff Check-In – only those who begin work 9/14)

Monday, Sept 14th – 10am-8pm (Staff Check-In)

Tuesday Sept 15th – 10am-8pm (Staff Check-In)

Wednesday, Sept. 16th – 3pm-12am (Box Office – ALL VOLUNTEERS WELCOME)

Thursday Sept. 17th – 10am-1am (Box Office)

Friday, June 19th – 10am-10pm (Box Office)

Once you have checked in at the box office, you’ll be directed to set up camp in General Admission camping (tent-only). Then you should swing by the Volunteer Hut to check in with me & ask any questions prior to your first shift!

Note- Only working volunteers will be allowed on-site during pre & post fest. Regular patrons can enter the site beginning at 10am on Thursday (3pm Wednesday if they purchase an Early Entry pass).

There are also shuttles available from Oakland for $90 round-trip.



  • Closed-toed shoes are REQUIRED while working
  • Sunscreen
  • Hat
  • Jacket (it gets chilly at night)
  • Any necessary medications
  • Refillable Water Bottle (water is FREE!!)
  • Snacks
  • A folding chair & book (some parking shifts can be a bit slow)


You will check in & out of every volunteer shift at the Volunteer Hut. This is the only way you will get credit for the hours you are putting in. From there, you will either be picked up or we will take you in a golf cart to where you need to be.


Crew showers will be open to volunteers ONLY during pre & post event days. During the event, showers will be offered for $7 in the Alchemy Village.


Meals are not provided for volunteers. There will be food vendors on site Wednesday-Monday. Please come prepared with enough food to last the duration of your stay!
