X&G are two entities creating some of the most monstrous sounds on the west coast. Each song builds up into a wall of sound and then crashes into what sounds like caverns crumbling into a cataclysmic abyss. Though they take on a minimal approach, don’t let them fool you. After a year of combined efforts, they have a release on one of the biggest labels in modern dance music: Owsla. Apart from that, they have self-released two incredible, yet polar opposite collections of work, and have a well displayed EP via Trapdoor Records. Each release ranges from a mixture of intricate and melodious ballads, to thunderous and heart racing climaxes of sound. X&G are a powerful force, and it won’t be any surprise to see them reaching great distances in 2016.
