Hanna Winters – Contemporary Dance Exploration

Here we will play with energy, time, space, momentum, perspective shifting, creating, stretching, and learning. We will start with a guided improvisation, then move on to stretch and strength, and then play with a contemporary/ modern based dance combination. Come with a open mind and playful heart!

I grew up in Ashland, OR, dancing and playing the violin. I went on to study dance performance and choreography at Elon University. After two years, I moved to Portland and began teaching dance and performing. I also played violin in the Rogue Valley Symphony.

I then went to Mexico and completed my yoga certification, and came home to continue teaching yoga and dance, practicing reiki, and working as a freelance dancer for various companies. I traveled to NYC to be in the off-broadway production of “Postcards From Hotel Casseopeia”.

Currently I reside in Portland. Here I teach yoga and dance, work on my personal dance practice, and work on my music projects.
